alquoz creative zone
Al Quoz Creative Zone is a project by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (DCAA) to create an integrated creative ecosystem that meets the requirements of creative talents and entrepreneurs invested in various areas of the creative economy. Alserkal Advisory designed and implemented a dynamic series of programmes for Quoz Creative Zone in 2022 and 2023 to garner participation in the area as a hub.
etihad museum
Etihad Museum educates and inspires visitors with the story of the UAE. In 2022-23, Alserkal Advisory was invited to craft the public programme of the Etihad Museum. We first articulated the programme under the title ‘Contemporary Histories’, to reinforce the museum as a present site of dialogue. The following years will raise the stakes under the programme title 'Living Legacies'.
expo 2020
Commissioned by Expo2020, Cultures in Conversation was a ten week programme of events and interventions that challenge the typical talks format. It followed from the belief that the planet and its people are at a crucial inflection point. Multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural, the programme unites people who are normally unlikely to be in the same room—artists, diplomats, theorists, and academics.

Noor Riyadh
Noor Riyadh is the largest light art festival in the world. Alserkal Advisory crafted Noor Riyadh’s community engagement programme over two consecutive years: 2022 and 2023. Having been initially contracted to programme the festivals’ talks and workshops in 2022, our scope was expanded to include family activities and guided tours.
Global Co-commission
The Global Co-commission prototypes and documents principles of responsible commissioning of public art. Alserkal Advisory conceptualized the Global Co-commission as an initiative that foregrounds subaltern community knowledge in public art that addresses shared global challenges.
